Corina Shipp Photography LLC Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 12/8/25

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Corina Shipp Photography LLC (“Photographer,” “I,” or “me”) and govern your access to and use of corinashipp.com and its subdomains. By using this website or booking services, the Client (“you”) agrees to the policies outlined below. These online Terms & Conditions complement—but do not replace—the signed contract required for all sessions, events, and projects.

A Note from Me
Whether you’re here as a family, individual, business, nonprofit, or agency, thank you for being here. My goal is to create an experience that feels simple, personalized, and trustworthy from beginning to end. These Terms & Conditions highlight expectations, policies, and procedures, while your signed contract provides all session-specific details.

1. Entire Agreement
Any booked photography service is governed first by the signed contract between the Photographer and the Client.
  • The contract contains the entire understanding between the parties.
  • Changes must be in writing and signed by all parties.
  • Waivers must also be in writing and signed.
  • Agreements are governed by Washington State law.

2. Retainer & Payment Terms
  • A non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your session or project date.
  • The retainer is earned upon payment and is non-refundable due to the Photographer’s time, skill, preparation, and inability to book other clients during that block of time.
  • Final payment is due before the session or event, as stated in your contract.
  • No galleries, downloads, or products will be delivered until all invoices are paid in full.
  • Accepted payment methods are outlined in the contract.
  • All payments are subject to Washington State sales tax.

3. Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellation 7+ calendar days before the session allows the retainer to be applied to a mutually agreed-upon rescheduled date.
  • Cancellation 6 or fewer days, or failure to show, results in forfeiture of the retainer.

4. Rescheduling & Late Arrivals
Rescheduling
  • With 7+ days’ notice, the retainer may be applied to a new date within 3 months.
  • Weather-related rescheduling is at the Photographer’s discretion, with updates provided 24–48 hours prior.

Late Arrivals
  • Sessions begin at the scheduled time.
  • Late arrival time is deducted from the session with no compensation.
  • Missed shots due to Client tardiness or lack of cooperation are not the responsibility of the Photographer.

5. Session Participants & Minors
  • Only individuals listed in the contract will be photographed unless additional participants are approved in writing at least 48 hours in advance. Additional fees may apply.
  • A parent or legal guardian must be present for all minors. Failure to comply results in forfeiture of the retainer.

6. Photographic Materials, Galleries & Storage
  • All photographic materials—including RAW files, proofs, previews, and negatives—are the exclusive property of the Photographer.
  • Online galleries are delivered within the timeframe outlined in your contract.
  • Galleries remain open for 30 days; reopening requires a $50 un-archival fee.
  • The Photographer stores images for 1 year. After one year, images may be deleted.
  • Clients are responsible for having the technology needed to view and download images.
  • Physical products will be delivered within the timeframe noted in your contract or within your order confirmation.

7. Artistic Rights
The Photographer retains complete artistic control regarding:
  • Image selection
  • Editing style
  • Post-processing decisions
  • RAW files are not provided. Extra retouching requests may incur additional fees.

8. Copyright, Reproduction & Client Usage

Copyright
  • All images remain the copyrighted property of the Photographer.
  • Editing, altering, cropping, applying filters, or modifying images without permission is prohibited.

Client Usage
  • Families/individuals receive personal-use rights.
  • Businesses/organizations receive usage rights as outlined in their agreement.
  • Images may not be submitted to contests, used commercially, or reproduced by third parties without written consent.
  • Print releases must be followed exactly as stated.

9. Social Media Usage
  • Clients receive web-optimized, watermarked images for sharing.
  • Screenshots, downloads, or capturing images in any form is prohibited.
  • Clients may share direct links to blog posts or social media posts via native share functions.
  • Only images provided for web sharing may be posted to social media unless special licensing is granted.

10. Photography & Videography Restrictions

No guest or client photography/videography is permitted during the professional session unless approved in advance by the Photographer.

11. Refund & Replacement Policy

No Refunds on Digital Files

Because digital images cannot be returned, all digital photography sales are final and non-refundable.

No Refunds on Custom Printed Products

All printed products are custom-made.
Once orders are placed, they are non-refundable.

Delivery & Shipping
  • Clients in the Portland / SW Washington metro area receive hand-delivery unless otherwise arranged.
  • Orders requiring direct shipping incur additional fees, billed to the Client.
  • All fees and invoices must be paid before orders are processed.

Replacement for Damaged Items

If a product is damaged during shipping:
  • A replacement may be requested within 7 days of delivery.
  • Items must be returned complete and in original condition (excluding shipping damage).
  • Intentional or unrelated damage will not be accepted.
  • Shipping and return-shipping fees are non-refundable.
  • Replacement orders take 2–3 weeks.
  • Once the damaged item is received, a replacement will be sent.

12. Failure to Perform

If the Photographer cannot perform due to illness, emergency, fire, casualty, strike, act of God, or circumstances beyond control:
All efforts will be made to reschedule.

  • If rescheduling is not possible, the retainer will be refunded.
  • If images cannot be delivered due to technological malfunctions, loss, or damage without Photographer fault, liability is limited to the cost of the contract.

13. Liability & Indemnification
The Client agrees to indemnify and hold the Photographer harmless for any injury to the Client or their property during the session or surrounding events. The Photographer is not responsible for environmental hazards, location risks, weather, or client behavior.

14. Website Use
By using corinashipp.com, the Client agrees not to:
  • Copy website content
  • Misuse forms or contact features
  • Attempt unauthorized access
  • Use the site for unlawful purposes

15. Third-Party Services

Third-party services (payment processors, galleries, print labs, analytics tools) operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Clients are responsible for reviewing those policies when using those services.

16. Jurisdiction & Venue
  • Both parties consent to jurisdiction in Washington State.
  • The court where litigation is first filed will retain jurisdiction.
  • The Agreement is governed by the laws of the state in which action is commenced.

17. Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated periodically. Continued use of the website or services indicates acceptance of updates.
